Okay. Well a little about this site first. News Today - Get informed, get involved. I try to take an active role in the latest breaking news, mostly from a political standpoint. There’s always three sides to a story, and in general I try to be whatever is in between MSNBC and Fox News.
You guys are free to say anything that you want on this site (I do not edit comments, I encourage them) but remember, it’s your name that will be next to it so think about what you say before you post it.
Alright now I guess I should say a little bit about myself. Well my name is Travis Erickson and I currently work on a sports desk at a daily newspaper. I’ve been doing this blogging business since September. I label myself an independent and my political viewpoints are often from a libertarian standpoint, (socially liberal/fiscally conservative), so liberal and conservative minded readers alike often find relevant material on here.

I don’t know if this is a glitch, but when you commented on Texas Pundit I clicked on your name and came to your blog. There was an EDIT button that took me right to your post. I suspect we are on opposite sides of the political spectrum, but I wouldn’t want anyone to be able to hack your posts. Just sayin’

You would have had to log in to change anything. Thanks for looking out though. In all honesty, I lean more to the left than the right, but I can’t bring myself to side with either party.
OK, glad about the edit stuff. I hear you about either party. McCain was on my short list (along with Obama, hillary and romney) as people NOT to vote for. But, I think Palin, as odd as it may be, brings a fresh face to the mix. Thus, you have Obama as a new but inexperienced Chicago Pol picking an old fart like Biden and and an Old fart like McCain picking a new but not all that well experienced face like Palin. I suspect that Palin can learn faster than Obama can, and certainly faster than Biden or McCain. At any rate, glad you can’t get hacked and I look forward to jousting in a friendly manner.Hu

Travis, I am right there with you - socially liberal, fiscally conservative. Quite frankly, there are days that I can’t stand either party. ;-) LOL! I will definitely be back.
