News Today turns 250

News Today is officially 250 posts old today. I can honestly say I never thought I would make it this far, but alas here we are.

It has actually been a week chocked full of accomplishments here on News Today, so let’s take a second to recap.

Recently a link to News Today was featured on the White House’s official facebook page. News Today had previously been linked to by the Washington Post, the L.A. Times and the New York Times as well but the White House page is definitely a cool one to add to the list.

I’ve always maintained that my favorite part of blogging is the commentary you get from different people all across the globe. So it was pretty cool in the last week when the 1,000th comment to News Today was posted by Tailback24.

Since the beginning of the year 111 different countries have logged onto News Today (with a surprisingly large amount from the Phillipines?) which is also a remarkable achievement.

And of course today I noticed News Today featured on the front page of today.com on the list of fastest growing blogs.

So like I said, all in all a very cool week for News Today. I want to thank my readers first and foremost, for always keeping me on my toes and for constantly helping me expand my perspectives. I also want to give a big shoutout to politicians like Sarah Palin, Hillary Clinton, Bobby Jindal and Steny Hoyer. Without them this blog really wouldn’t be possible, or at least not nearly as entertaining.

Congratulations my friend. I can only hope that you stick around long enough to post another 250. Your objective and receptive approach to blogging is something that more of us should embrace (myself included). When I first began; it was you who extended a helping hand and I have not forgotten that. Again; congratulations Travis.
