Glenn Beck gets a News Today reality check
Glenn Beck, please shut up.
You know there’s only so much that I can listen to before I have to chime in, and I’ve tried to give you your space, Glenn Beck.
You didn’t hear me criticize you, Glenn Beck, when you idiotically asked our nation’s first Muslim congressman Keith Ellison if he was a terrorist or not. I didn’t say anything, Glenn Beck, when you threatened to kill Michael Moore with the same type of passion and zest I would have expected from Charlie Manson. Again I kept my mouth shut, Glenn Beck, when you began doing that whole bullshit fake crying thing on your program. I never called you out on any of your idiotic conspiracy theories, Glenn Beck. I even bit my tongue, Glenn Beck (til it bled, I might add), when you made fun of our president’s aunt’s physical disabilities.
I held my tongue, Glenn Beck, because I actually held a little bit of respect for you. Despite the other 99% of garbage that you routinely broadcast you were one of a handful of newscasters that actually paid attention to the United State’s debt problems. As I said before though, there’s only so much a man can take.
And when I heard about you calling President Barack Obama a racist, well, that was enough for me.
Tuesday on “Fox and Friends” Glenn Beck claimed that Obama held a “deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture.” Even the Fox News commentators were quick to jump in and point out (in that obnoxious half pointing out way that they do on Fox News) that that statement was likely untrue. Fox News said that was likely untrue because of all the white people Obama has hired as advisors. Nevermind the fact that Obama is half-white. Or that he’s one of the biggest symbols of unity on the issue of race that our country has seen since Martin Luther King. If Obama really was a racist don’t you think he would have had more to say about the police other than that they acted stupidly? Why would he have invited the white officer who made the arrest to the White House for a beer?
Obama’s no more a racist than you are a patriot, Glenn Beck. You try to be as divisive as possible, spread baseless accusations, root for the failure of our country all of the while crying crocodile tears about your “loss of freedoms.” Enough already, Glenn Beck, just shut up.
