Blago tells Larry King he doesn’t know what “bleeping golden” means

Published by skwguitar at 3:37 pm under American Politics Edit This

Look I’m all for giving this guy a fair trial - but what does he expect when he’s parading around national television WHILE THE TRIAL IS GOING ON???

Today Agent Daniel Cain testified at Blago’s impeachment trial and told state senators that they payed special attention to making sure it was Blagojevich’s voice when they eavesdropped on conversations.

Cain testified under oath Tuesday that the quotes released when Blagojevich was arrested were actually what the governor said. Among the quotes are Blagojevich saying President Barack Obama’s senate seat was “valuable” and wouldn’t be “given away for nothing.”

House prosecutor David Ellis walked Cain step by step through each quote filed as part of the criminal charges against Blagojevich, with Cain confirming that each quote was correct.

I don’t care what anybody says. Let’s play a little game. Which of the following doesn’t match.

A. Pearl Harbor
B. Nelson Mandela
C. Ghandi
D. Blago.

My vote goes for D. Which in this case, stands for delusional.

LOL, I saw it also. Blago was pretty good except when he started stammering his words when asked if he said those things. He never really answered the question.

Why can’t the tapes be open to the public? Surely something as crucial as a state Governor trying to sell a senate seat to the highest bidder ought to have substantial evidence before they would even think of accusing him.

What do they gain from keeping these tapes secret from the public?

You can tell when they are lying when they tremble lol. I want to delve deeper into this story, I thought it was a laugh trying to sell Obama’s Senate seat! Isn’t there anything sacred anymore?

The prosecutor (Patrick Fitzgerald) is pursuing criminal charges against Blagojevich. Fitzgerald did allow the Illinois legislature to play some tapes on the floor during the impeachment proceedings. I bet you can find some recording of the proceedings.

Fitzgerald didn’t give all the tapes to the legislature because he doesn’t want to tip his prosecutorial strategy to Blagojevich’s defense attorneys.

Blagojevich never answered King’s question about what was “golden” about the Senate seat appointment. This guy is in real trouble criminally.
