Top 20 all-time fricking unforgettable Bush moments. #6.

Published by skwguitar at 7:44 pm under American Politics Edit This

I wanted to kind of highlight this moment because it was always one of my favorites. Granted it’s just Bush messing up something’s name, which is something he’s done many many times before. Still this one is one of my favorites. Here’s why.

Notice the generals standing behind him? Probably some very capable and intelligent men. The best our country has to offer. I wonder what thoughts went through their minds as Bush botched the name of the country that will likely define his presidency.

President Bush: “… that there be a stable Iran”

General, wincing: “um, that’s Iraq sir…”

President Bush: “An Iran that is capable of rejecting Iranian influence…”

General: “Do you even think before you talk? That doesn’t make sense on so many levels sir…”

President Bush: “I mean an Iraq, that’s capable of rejecting Iranian influence…”

General: “I hate my life…”
